It resembles an XBB PowerUnit® on the outside but also includes the functions of the XBB Dongle® built into the same unit. This means that an XBB Dongle® is not required for installations where PP-CAN-FD® is used.

Unlike the XBB Dongle®, the PP-CAN-FD® is installed on the vehicle’s internal CAN-bus network. The installation therefore requires a bit more knowledge of vehicle electronics, as it connects directly to the vehicle’s electrical system rather than to the diagnostic port, as is the case with the XBB Dongle®.
- Some vehicle models require the PP-CAN-FD® instead of the XBB Dongle®.
- Recipes for the PP-CAN-FD® can be found under Compatible car models → PP-CAN.
- Also suitable for those who do not want or are unable to have anything installed in the diagnostic port.
Each PP-CAN-FD® has two outputs rated at 10 A per output, which can also be bridged to provide a total of 20 A. The unit also features an analog input on Pin 4, which can be used, among other things, for manual activation of the outputs.
The unit is also fully potted, meaning it can withstand harsher environments than a standard XBB PowerUnit®.
You can connect up to four XBB PowerUnit® modules to a single PP-CAN-FD® unit if the two built-in outputs are not sufficient. Of course, it is also possible to add our XBB PowerUnit 6® or an XBB Smart Button® if desired.
